Hello crafty friends! This is my first post for the My Mind’s Eye blog and I couldn’t be more excited! My name is Jung and I live in Texas with my husband and our two girls. My scrapbooking style is very geometric (i.e. grids, shapes, clean lines), and I love negative/white space. My favorite MME product are enamel dots…they appear on almost all of my layouts!
Today I’m sharing our family’s New Year’s day traditions on a layout featuring the new On Trend 2 collection. I absolutely love all the colors, stripes & polkadots and the pops of gold!
First, I trimmed a piece of white canvas cardstock, and sewed it onto a piece of pattern paper, creating a border. From the On Trend 2 6×6 paper pad, I cut out 4 squares of pattern paper using my paper trimmer, and adhered them to my white cardstock. From there, I added my photos, created a title using stickers, and dressed up each square with embellishments, more stickers, brads, and enamel dots from the On Trend 2 collection.
My journaling reads: “The girls absolutely love our New Year’s day tradition… spending time with Grandma & Papa, eating rice cake soup, wearing their pretty hanboks, deep bows for their elders, and of course money for their little bags.” Underneath that in Korean is something we say to each other on New Year’s day; it translates into something like “many blessings for the new year.”

Thanks so much for stopping by! I know you guys will love My Mind’s Eye On Trend 2 collection as much as I do. I can’t wait to see what you create!
Have an awesome day!
